Companies come, companies go and it seems websites go sometimes even faster.
For some reason people forget to extend their domain name registration. Other ventures just stop their business so it makes sense the website perishes as well.
Also the opposite happens. The print version of a magazine ceases publication, the website is still available although not updated anymore.
I intend to update on a somewhat regular basis on the ditched websites. The main reason for ditching is the fact that they ceased to exist.
