It’s still city time. Two new cities have been added. Hangzhou and Ningbo.
Both cities are close to Shanghai, it’s a train ride of a couple of hours and you can set foot in the park around the Westlake in Hangzhou. I actually spent only half a day there, coming from a bamboo town on our way to Shanghai.
The West Lake and the parks around and within are nice, although crowded in the weekend.
Ningbo I haven’t been yet. It’s a coastal city, has a growing port and as far as I know even a Starbucks.

Hello,
we even have 2 starbucks. But really Ningbo is the fastest growing industrial City in the south east China region. 5 million people living here and almost 2000 foreigners from all countries. Ningbo has a really nice night life with tables on the street and several irish pubs and real restaurants. Living is great here and people say that quality of life is much higher than Shanghai with almost the same possibilities. If you don’t know??! the Shanghai people are even building a bridge (48 km long) so they can get more easy to Ningbo to enjoy life.. more about Ningbo on www.ningboexpats.com a place to be with friends…
so long
